Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
We lived at Kpark for about 1 1/2 years between 2006-2007. There are pluses and minuses to this place, but the minuses are not show-stoppers, and pluses are very encouraging to stay here.
Pluses
* Spacious (esp. for the price)
* Nice swimming pool, very conducive to swim
* Nice pool table and fitness room.
* Management is easy on the lease (extending the lease on a month-to-month basis didn't cost a lot), plus they do 3- and 6-month leases
* Parking is great because 1)parking on brigadoon drive is open to public, so easy for visitors to park, 2) there are trees on the road, and they provide shade during hot summers.
* Close to NCSU and on the wolfline (if you are a student)
* Wi-fi used to be free, but off-late they charge $10/month. It would be nice if it was free. It's a pretty good wireless connection.
* Maintenance staff is responsive. They used to be understaffed, but now they seem to have enough people to attend to requests quickly.
* Friendly management.
Minuses
* No washer/dryer or connections in 1 bedroom units. The 2 beds have connections (I think). Every block of apartments have a laundromat, so it's not too bad.
* Dishwasher was old and unusable. But the management changed it to a new one when we let them know about it. So this really is a plus.
* In apartments that do not have right exposure for dish satellite, the apartment management does not co-operate in having the dish installed (this is typical in most apartments though).
