Good enough for students maybe

If you don't mind noise
If you're not concerned with upkeep
If keeping a regular sleep schedule is not important to you
If you enjoy nature intruding in your home
If you think front lawn jungles are picturesque
If you think walking to your car at night in pitch dark is exciting
If you find antique appliance to be charming and
If you don't need reliable access to the internet
Then you can save a lot of money at Kensington Park!
The rent is really cheap for the amount of space that you get (even if a lot of that space is wasted due to poor, or just plain idiotic, design. Speaking of design, there is only one cable outlet in all 1100 square feet of this place and it's right by the front door. One phone jack is in the back bedroom, the other is above the stove (o_O?). Repairs take forever, always after repeated calls, even if it is as simple as a drippy faucet (they make you pay for water now, so I doubt they care).
Bugs are a persistant problem. At first I didn't mind, they were just little silverfish and earwigs which would do battle and eat eachother in the hallway--kind of dramatic and interesting really. But the cockroaches that one lowlife neighbor brought with him, those I cannot abide. The problem as been consistent now for at least eight monthes. Calls to the office result in nothing more than the usual scheduled spraying. This does nothing but maybe kill the adults. A few weeks later all the eggs have hatched and it's back to square one again. I've begged them to bug bomb the place, which would take 4 hours and at the most $20, but to no avail. The office personal are always friendly and sympathetic over the phone, but nothing comes of it.
Noise is a problem of course. But that is to be expected living so close to NC State. If you're a student yourself, maybe you wouldn't care. If you're not a student, go find a grown-up place instead, where people around you also work for a living.
The towing at this place is zealous to say this least.
The "fitness center" is only open during business hours, which is useless to anyone who does actually work (I use quotations, I think you can guess why).
In short boys and girls, you get what you pay for. I learned that the hard way after thinking this was such a good deal when I moved in. If you are thinking of this place because it is so cheap, also be warned that the so-called highspeed wireless internet (for which they charge a mere $10 a month) does not resemble anything that is highspeed in the least. Also be aware that your electric bill will be on the high side because the apartments are about as air tight as shoeboxes.
