I lived at Lake Johnson from 1998 until 2001. I was there through one ownership/management change. The office staff, while friendly, did not have their act together at all. Many times my maintenance requests were processed incorrectly. If I called for a broken dishwasher, they would send an exterminator to spray for an ant problem, not that I ever had an ant problem. The management company also entered units to perform major maintenance work and failed to notify us. They were replacing some rusted plumbing and took out 1/3 of a living room wall and it took them nearly two weeks to replace it! You can imagine my surprise when I came home to see most of my wall missing. The management company also installed "splash guards" in our bathroom that made getting in and out of the bathtub nearly impossible. They assumed that all of that water could not possibly come from a leaky pipe. Therefore, they assumed we must take messy showers and thus installed the "splash guards".

The complex lost much of its "country charm" when AIMCO took over the property. It is a great location, but don't expect much from the management except a lot of headaches.
