Great location, old buildings, empty promises

Being right next to the lake is nice, and the neighbors are good for the most part. As far as small repairs are concerned, the are fixed in a timely manner, but bigger projects never happen. For example, my parking lot was supposed to be paved 60-90 days after my lease was signed, no attempts have even been made to accomplish this. They would not give it to me in writing, and even though a verbal contract is legally binding in NC, I do not have the time or the patience to hire a lawyer.
My word of advice- if you like the apartment and the price go for it, but don't count on any repairs or deals to renew your lease.
