I love my Lake Johnson Mews Apartment. I moved into a renovated apartment after all the renovations were done, so I don't have any complaints there. For slightly higher rent, I have a beautiful apartment with an accent all and over-range microwave.
I've gone through two sets of office staff, and thought very highly of both. The maintenance staff has been very courteous and helpful as well.
I'm in an excellent location; close enough to the lake for convenience, far enough away to avoid bugs. I also like the added feeling of security being set back from the road. The excessive amount of parking is very convenient as well.
Noisy neighbors have never been a problem for me either. I'm on the bottom floor, yet very rarely hear anyone walking upstairs. My next door neighbors have dogs, and I sometimes hear their chihuahua yipping, but it's very muffled.
I love the location as well. I go to State, so I'm conveniently close to there. However, I also work at a store in Crossroads in Cary, and it only takes me fifteen minutes to get to my job. I'm also minutes away from the Beltline and I-40.
The best part is probably the price, and all that's included in it. I was speaking with my grandmother who lives in a very comparable apartment in Garner (in the middle of nowhere) and pays $200 more, without the free wireless internet. All of the other similarly-priced apartments near State are rundown tenement buildings in sketchy neighborhoods where one can be guaranteed to be awakened at least twice a night by blasting music or screeching tires. In contrast to the various other Raleigh apartment buildings I've lived in before, I have been very pleasantly surprised. I plan on living here for years to come, at least through graduate school.
