It meets your basic needs--a good choice if you can't spend quite as much $$

The above title pretty much sums it up. I've had a 1 bedroom apartment, and my rent price has been somewhat less ($50-200) than nearby/similar apartments. Based on the rent that I've paid, I have to remember that I get what I pay for. I don't have a renovated apartment--which isn't a big deal, but it would be really nice to have a new kitchen/bathroom. That would mean paying more each month in rent, though. I think the landscaping is really nice, and it's nice being right next to the lake. Also, I've never had any problems with the maint. or office staff. The person that lives above me is noisy, though---has a noisy dog, cleans really late at night, etc. I've complained about that recently, and there's been an improvement. But, noisy people will likely be in every apartment complex. On the whole, though, it's a quiet apartment complex from what I've witnessed. You do get free wireless internet, but from time to time it doesn't work. I personally don't consider it an amenity because of the inconsistentcy of it. Another thing to remember--the apartments are old, so the insulation really is not very good--at least not in my apartment. Overall, I think the apartments are fine. My lease will be up in a few months, but I probably won't renew it. Based on the amount that my rent will likely increase if I renew, I'd probably be paying around $650 a month for a one bedroom unrenovated apartment. I decided that I'd rather pay $700-$750 a month for a nicer (newer, or renovated) apartment at this point rather than stay where I am. I've got a little more money to spend on rent each month now, but if I didn't, my experience here has been positive so I'd likely just stay in this apartment.
