Nightmare

I have lived at Landmark for 8 months and cannot wait to move out! From day one I have had nothing but problems with this apartment and of course it all started after we had signed our lease and moved in. Upon move in, we had a list of things that needed to be fixed, including leaky fixtures, no light outside our apartment (Yes, even in the courtyard area), and numerous others. I had to call about 3 times before anyone even came to look at the problems. I have memorized the leasing office phone number because I am always calling with another complaint. The pest control services stink, and even when they do come, you cannot tell because the bugs apprear again after a few weeks. I have even had to call to have Animal Control to come out because of an animal in my wall that will NOT leave me alone. I called over 4 weeks ago and they are finally getting around to it, but whatever they have done has not helped, he is still there scraching away at my wall, driving me crazy!
On another note, even though it may look like a nice price to pay for what you get, you end up spending A WHOLE LOT more when it comes to utilities. We have yet to see a bill under $100. The place is not very well heated and not cooled well either. During the summer it was about 85 degress inside and in the winter it stayed about 58 degress and the unit ran CONSTANTLY!
Every afternoon I was able to smell food cooking from the apartment below me.
The noise isn't too bad, get's worse as the afternoon goes on.
Traffic speeds like you would not belive on the main road which causes some saftey concerns for me.
Saftey is another issue. I really truly do not feel same in my own apartment. At night the roads and apartments are not very well lit and if they are, the lights are covered up by trees or are VERY dim. I live on the side backed up to Meredith Village so there is a chain linked fence behind me, at night, there are ALWAYS people jumping over the fence which scares me since I never can see where the person is because of the trees, especially at night too since it is VERY dark back there. I really do not feel safe coming in alone at night nor do I feel comfortable staying here alone at night.
Do not make the same mistake I did and settle on this place just because it seemed like a good deal for the money. It is not. And the amentity fee is a JOKE, we payed something like $35 to be able to use the pool and the fitness center. The pool was open about 4 weeks out of the summer and the fitness center has been closed for about 4 months due to vandalism. Don't live here it is a true nightmare!
