I am a disabled person with COPD and spinal degeneration and have recently had a severe surgery. I am in constant pain and stay in most of the time. I have requested that management fix my AC since I moved in in November. I knew then that the air was not cool and needed it fixed before summer. It was half fixed and I am getting sicker by the day,. My lungs are worse than ever and I sweat all the time. The temp never drops below 75 no matter how low the setting. The second bedroom cannot be used at all which i use to study online classes. I am burning up and my lungs hurt, and it is 930pm.
After my surgery , when I got home i was told that maintenance would put a window unit in and they did not until I reported to them that I would hire a lawyer.
It was put in at 930 pm that night. The management is heartless and I will be filing court action soon as my electric bill has been 240. dollars last month and 225. this month. I asked for a refund on it and I have not heard a word yet. Ipreviously owned a 1790. SQ foot home which I sold and the electric bill was never over 175. per month and I kept it really cold. I put a work order in last week asking that the AC is fixed to cool the whole apartment and have not heard a word. Guess I better close my second bedroom door so that the other bedroom we sleep in will cool down for the night. Amy was a great manager and really tried to help but the owners would not let her do was is needed to complete the repairs. The new manager will not respond to the work order about my AC so it looks like court time to me as I have suffered long enough tring to breath and get on with my life. They have done me physicl and emotioal harm. This situation holds me hostage as I cannot even use my office room.
Please contact me @ Alanbreports@aol.com if you need more information or want to join in a class action suit. They have caused me severe health issues which are documented by my doctor. I am being totally honest here and will write a favorable review as soon as my AC is fixed. Finally, the fan on the inside of the apartment is not strong enough to blow any air into the second bedroom so I also froze during the winter and could not use my office much then either.
