I've lived in one of the loft apartments for two years, and apart from the unique floorplan and open, airy feeling, I don't have much positive to say about this complex.
The cabinetry is cheap, the carpet bubbles all over the place, we have a constant roach problem (even with complex-provided extermination and dozens of traps and lots of poison), the floors and walls are thin, etc... We can hear our neighbors in the shower, and I can often recognize what TV shows they are watching.
Since we moved in, the office staff has changed no fewer than three times, and no one ever remembers our names. They are often surly, even when we drop off rent (shouldn't they be happy to see us then') Maintenence requests are honored, but the work is less than superb. Example: our dishwasher has been "fixed" three times, and has not yet actually been fixed.
However, the location can't be beat, and the prices are very low. Our floorplan is unique, and there are tons of windows (which of course are not very well insulated, but still pretty). We hate to move because we have put a lot of work into making our unit comfortable, but when our lease is out this year, we will not renew.

I agree with your review. I lived at LF for 3.5 years and the staff changed many times. Everything you said is pretty consistant with the experiences that I had at LF as well.
