I would never have lived here if I would have known

The lease agreement is vague and when you speak with anyone in the office about it they are rude and disrespectful. The office is not willing to listen to their tenants and they are not willing to do more than what their hourly wage requires of them. Even the leasing office people don't live in this complex (that shows you how bad it is). No one is willing to work with you or to even give you a straight answer. People's cars have been broken into, lighting on the perimeter is inadequate, and the walls are thin. Maintenance takes months before anything is fixed. The tacks in the carpet poke through to your feet, the drains in all sinks and baths are always backed up, and the dryer vent blows right onto the outside walkway so that you have to walk through other people's vent air. There is always trash in the parking lot and between the bushes, when the landscapers do come to work it is at 7am on a Saturday morning (don't try to sleep in!). Don't let the nice layout of the apartment fool you, it backs up to unsafe neighborhoods. Overall this apartment is not worth the money or trouble. You will be better off going someplace else.

Lived here?

I have lived here almost a year and have had my share of issues.. that comes with any apartment complex.. The lease DOES CLEARLY state the rules on resigning the lease or choosing to move out at the end.. and if you did not read that then you should have read your renewal notice.. it also states when you should give your notice.. I would know because I just resigned another lease...the people that work in the office have always been helpful and how do you know if anyone working in the office lives in the complex? you are obviously pissed because someone did not "bend the rules" to help you out.. the office people do care about lease holders because from my understanding they do work on commission, especially when someone resigns for another year.. so take your hatred towards the office staff elsewhere because its not fair for the people that actually use this site, to read bull ---- like that..

As for linksmanager and Anonymous 1, do not read honest reviews if you do not like the content. You can pretend like The Links does everything correct but as for the tenants who live here, we feel differently. If you work on commission you would think you would want to be friendly to the people that live there. Every time I have been down to the office the people have been rude and disrespectful. If you dont like people or your job do something different. As far as living here again I will always tell people to never live here!

Linksmanager that is definitely not the case. I have not lived at the links for years, and was not evicted, I chose to leave and haven't looked back. Why are you so defensive? It seems your position would not be one of defense if you are convinced you and your staff has never done anything wrong. Perhaps the links staff could use an HR Representative. I think the concept of the website is to warn renters of the condition of a complex before they move and make a mistake; OR, to recommend a complex to renters where the tenants are satisfied. You apparently need to make some changes in your approach to dealing with tenant issues and responding to their concerns. It is obvious your position requires much patience, probably on a daily basis; it seems that you are not always ready to offer that much of yourself.

I hesitate to respond as it will cause my previous comment here to be erased. But I would like to respond to the poster on 7/6/09. Agreed, not everyone who comments here has been evicted. I am defensive when I know in my heart of hearts that what the poster is saying is not 100% accurate. For example, the original post says that there are no staff members that live onsite. That is untrue. It says landscapers do their work on Saturdays at 7AM. Actually they are here on Mondays. I agree what you say is the concept of the website. However, when individuals are allowed to state things that I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt are untrue, I should be allowed to do that. Unfortunately, this website will not remove "false" statements even if we can prove them false. Privacy laws limit us on what we can say. I believe that those who rely on this website to make an important decision deserve the truth and that the website should make an effort to provide them with the truth and not an emotionally charged opinion filled with false statements to make the property look bad. There is a difference between stating an opinion (ie red is a pretty color) and factual statement (it is hot outside) I also believe that posters should be required to post their name and not hide behind "anonymous". If what the poster is saying is true, they should put their name on it. I appreciate your understanding my position requires a lot of patience but it requires SO much more than that. I would really like your feedback so I can understand where you are coming from, perhaps you will call me. Thank you!
