This is the first apartment we moved into when relocating to NC. We soon found that North Raleigh is suppose to be at the top of places to live. What I have noticed is that Litchford has a high turn-over rate, not only in tenants, but in office staff. We have had many new neighbors and don't even know the people working in the office -- except the actual manager. There have been many new complexes built around here, so Litchford is allowing ANYONE to move in out of desperation. The environment has gotten noisey, there have been thefts and just recently the discovery of someone selling drugs right out of an apartment. I can recall the stringent background check and verification we had to go through just to get in, so I wonder how these people got in with no jobs and moreso, no green cards.
Yes, landscaping is nice... The gym leaves much to be desired and the laundry roon is in desperate need of new equipment. The apartment we live in has had many maintenace issues, but we've stopped complaining. This is a good "starter" apartment, but like others said, they make it very difficult to get out of your lease for any reason. In my opinion, if they want to attract tenants and keep them, this place needs to be rennovated and more measures taken to keep troublesome tenants out.
