Take it for what it is worth ...

Years at this apartment: 2008-01-01 - 2008-01-01
I lived in two apartments in Mallard Park from Oct 2005 - March 2006.
The one bedroom was a very nice size. I really enjoyed the big porch with the pond view. I do recall that they told me appliances were going to be updated and they were not. They did replace my stove, though (it was a push button one from the 70s)! The kitchen had plenty of counter space, but the counters were ugly green.
The bathroom was small, but that was ok. The closet space was AWESOME! The window in my bedroom was kind of small, though.
Noise ... the only noise I heard was from upstairs. It was like Congo meets Broadway. I swear the African woman never slept, worked or left the house. She constantly played her music and television too loud. The office responded to my complaints, but not well enough. My boyf and I moved into a two bedroom, so that was the end of that.
The two bedroom was also nice-ish. We were on the top floor so it was a lot quieter. The living room was huge and the closet space was even better! It had a closet on each side of the door frame! I did not like the bathroom. It had like a half bath combined with the full bath. It was kind of dumb. Besides, the second toilet did not work.
The reason we moved out was because our air conditioning kept going out. I mean, all the time! It was the beginning of summer and hot. We had to stay in god awful Birchtree while they fixed our ac. After three or four times of that, we told the office we were leaving (with no penalty) and moved to a brand new apartment.
I would summarize my stay at Mallard Park as OK. I was in college at the time and it served its purpose well. If you have nice, quiet neighbors, then you will be alright!
