I've lived here for about 6 months. Have not had major problems, but everything could and should be better.

For example our door would not work with the cards we had. Upon returning from thanksgiving break we were unable to enter our apartment and the security guard had to climb a ladder and open the door with a butter knife while we waited for 45 minutes to get into our apartments. When maintenance returned to fix the problem the next day, they simply put duct tape on it so our deadbolt didn't work and our door no longer closed easily. They were supposed to come back and fix that but did not until after requests were made.

Maintenance has been prompt with other requests, but also refused to fix the top element in our oven because they said it's not supposed to work. Although we requested that maintenance not enter our apartment when we are not there, they have done so on several occasions. They did not take or damage anything, just made me uncomfortable to know someone that I don't know is in my apt while I'm sleeping.

The card system is unreliable. They also refuse to give you an extra card for any reason.

There are many residents from shaw that dominate the basketball court.

Also males hang out in the parking lot since there is really no where else to go and throw football hitting cars frequently. They are rude.

The fence that encircles the property has many holes in it, pretty uneffective really.

Very poorly lit, as a female I feel generally unsafe at night and if I could not park close to my stairwell, I would be very uncomfortable.

I have been unable to recieve several packages and pieces of mail. All were returned to sender with the message that the address does not exist. I missed paychecks and textbooks on rush delivery that I needed for class. This has cost me 50 dollars in shipping charges.

Parking is great.

Internet is fast, reliable, and included.

Cable is great and included.

Smoke detectors in each room and kitchen and actually work.

We got a furnished apt and the furniture is ok. The couch and chairs are nice, fairly new. We were promised new desks and dressers by thanksgiving. It's after christmas and we've seen nothing. Mattress is awful and they won't replace it.
