One of the nicer things about Montecito is that it's older, but they have paid off their mortgage. Their income seems to be going towards a lot of maintenance and renovating. When I moved in (about a year and a half ago) I had all new carpet and new cupboards in the kitchen, and they have since then renovated the pool area.

All in all, it's pretty nice.
