My husband and I have been here for 2 years now and have signed another year lease, so going on our 3rd yr. We started at a 2 bedroom, which I loved. The bay window in the kitchen really opened it up. Although the 2 bedroom was big, we were growing out of it and decided to move into a 3 bedroom. The floor plan is great. There is crown molding in the dining room and continues to the living room. It's a really nice feature to have in an apartment. The master bedroom and bedroom 2 are huge! The 3rd room isn't a bad size either. Perfect for the office. All 3 rooms have great closets! We don't have a garage, but the storage space on the deck is a great size.
The only thing I would have to complain about is the parking. It would be nice to park in front of your building everyday, especially when you have to carry groceries.
The staff are GREAT! They know us by name and we are always greeted with a smile. Whenever we have had a problem, which was like 2 times, the maintenance staff had it fixed the next day. We don't expect them to change our air filters, to me that is just being lazy. We change ours about once a month, but go to the office and ask for them we get 2 or so at a time. It's not an inconvenience to go to the office and ask. Same goes for light bulbs. Unless your incapable of changing them yourself.
The grounds are great! I think they are well maintained. I feel very safe in this community. The parking lots and entrance ways are well lit.
As for noise, it is an apartment, so you are gonna hear some, it's inevitable. Be realistic here. Overall, I have no complaints.
The kitchen has a lot of cupboard space and counter space. I love to cook. The pantry, gotta love it.
The bathrooms are great sizes. I love my double vanity in the master (it was in the 2 bedroom also). The garden tub is a great plus! The 2nd bathroom is big too. Most other apartment have a decent size bathroom and the 2nd is usually cramped. Not here though.
As for them raising the rent significantly, not true. When we were in the 2 bedroom, if we were to stay there rent was gonna go up $20 a month, which is nothing and expected. Now that we are in a 3 bedroom, rent didn't increase at all. No complaints here.
All in all Muirfield Village is a great place to live. We plan on staying here until we buy a house.
