Conditions of apartment upon move-in were VERY unsanitary. Maintenance always makes a mess (bootprints in the tub when they replaced a cracked shower head, glue all over the wall when they replaced cove base, materials left behind, blow torch left behind when a broken window was replaced, volt meter left on bed and power to refrigerator left off when they were trying to figure out why the light switch didn't work in bedroom) sometimes ruining personal belongings, (using upholstered dining room chair to stand on to repair wall, dropping paint on leather camel from Kuwait) and never clean up after themselves. They never get the job done right/neat the first time. Sometimes I have to fix things myself, like a leak from the refrigerator. They cover up the problems rather than get to the root of them, such as a leak in the wall that was painted over.
