Raleigh has too many nice places to offer to settle for Northridge. I was a recent tenant..and was pleasantly surprised to see how much more I could get for the money in an area more convinient for me once I left Northridge!

Many of the tenants seem to be going downhill. I also had a few disagreement with the office staff, which I felt were handled very poorly.

I recommend if you are considering Northridge....do yourself a favor and keep looking!

I agree with this review 100% We've been at Northridge for 2 and half years and cannot wait to leave. Our lawn area is constantly filled with garbage and the tenet quality truly has gone downhill. We've lived next door to crackheads (at a different apt) and our current neighbor at Northridge is WORSE than CRACKHEADS. We've made constant complaints and the staff say they've handled but handling means a dainty little letter with no follow-up. I also feel as if our situation could have been handled entirely different and better than it has played out. The rent is too high and there are far too many empty apartments.

I also am surprised by your negative review. I am very happy here and just renewed my lease. I would be interested to know what disagreements you had with the office staff and why you think the new tenants are going downhill. Did you have a bad experience with a neighbor? Also, what other apartments did you find that are better for your money?

I think these ratings that say "tenants have gone downhill" are offensive to us new residents. I've been a resident for 5 months and I think I'm a pretty good resident and neighbor. I have an education and great job. All of my neighbors that I've met are professionals including teachers, mortgage brokers, IT professionals, etc. These are not exactly loser "downhill tenants" if you ask me. I dont have the nicest car since I'm currently paying student loans for 4 years of undergrad and 2 years of grad school so maybe I'm one of those downhill neighbors you're talking about. It sounds to me like some of the posters are a little judgemental and think they're better than others. I honestly don't see what they see. Maybe these raters have lived next to people like Donald Trump in the past...

I agree with some of the tenants going downhill...I am not trying to say that NRC is a ghetto by any means, far from it - it DOES cost 900/mon to live here, but after 2.5 yrs living here I have gone from knowing all my neighbors, to not wanting to know any of them. Bob, you're a good guy, but you are on the flagship side of the complex...come down to the far end of NRC more often...Big work trucks parked in the roundabout, 4-6 kids loitering loudly outside of ground floor windows after dark, lawn care trucks with trailer parked by the mailbox at night, etc. etc. etc. I am not making this up, I am not delusional, nor am I attempting to be slanderous. The staff are nice, but I always meet someone new when paying rent. The maintenance guys always wave to me, so that's nice, and who can complain about the landscaping? After a while, you stop looking at how nice the grounds look, and start seeing how unpleasant NRC has become. Contractors nailing up siding that blew off in a storm, at 7AM? Landscaping crew takes ALL DAY. The horrible intersection of sumner and old wake forest in the mornings/evenings, having to take trash to the compactor(that is ALWAYS overflowing on the weekends), the pitiful excuse for a dog walk, the inadequate car care area, the list could go on forever.

Somebody certainly feels a need to slander this community with their ridiculous comments. As a Neighborhood watch volunteer, I simply cannot understand where these comments are coming from. This is not how things work here. Please visit the community yourself anytime day or night to see for yourself. Simply cannot understand why this is happening.

Did you try discussing this with your neighbor? You will have some noise in multi-family housing. This apt complex is better insulated than many we've lived in before.

I have been living here for almost 10 months now. While NRC is generally a good place, i have been facing issues due to a loud neighbor. Inspite of sending a polite notice, this neighbor continues to literally stomp while walking in his/her 2nd floor apartment creating a huge noise. I can hear him/hear walking in the apt all the time. Management did not take it too seriously and suggested i call the cops!!! Hey, they can sort this out amicably. I should not send cops to a neighbor.

I have lived on Highline for almost 5 years. Anytime there has been a neighbor problem, they were in the process of moving shortly after, most likely by invitation.Management has always interceded. I have not seen loiterers and double parking. This has been the most peaceful abode ever. Every concern I have had has been addressed immediately. I have a great lawn, great neighbors. I don't care if the lawn service stays all day. They work every minute, even in the pouring rain.
