Let's see where shall I begin' Okay on a half way decent note, the management was at best DECENT when I first moved in, however, I should have taken heed when my apartment was not ready on the day I was supposed to move in. I wasn't ready a week after I was supposed to move in...it took two weeks beyond my move in date for my apartment to be ready.

Then there was the mouse incident. I came home one day and found mice in my kitchen, and I also saw their dropping all over my living room. They got in behind my stove, behind my fridge, and behind my toilet in the bathroom. I am terrified of mice and I high tailed it outta here! Anyways, the management/maintenance crew were not very helpful in solving my mouse problem... the just left me some glue traps...I repeat again, I am TERRIFIED of mice, the last thing I want is a live confrontation with a mouse. I called the office again and complained... and a staff member told me, (as if I were an idiot) that maybe the mice got in through the door which is completely ludicrous...I mean if mice usually come in thru the door, they have a bigger mouse problem than I thought, any ways I got my dad to seal up the holes in the wall where they were getting in (the ones we could see anyway) and a mouse was STILL getting in, so I called and angrily demanded that something be done before I had to break my lease, and then maintenance came in and sealed up the last hole.

The next incident was the flood. My upstairs neighbor's washing machine went crazy while she was out, and my apartment got severely flooded. I called emergency maintenance at LEAST 30 times for assistance, and nobody ever called me back. Finally, I had to call the fire department for help, and they broke into her apartment and shut off the water. And lo and behold, even the fire apartment couldnt get a hold of maintenance. My apartment was flooded, and I had to abandon it at at 1 AM in the morning. The next day I called management and was basically called a liar by the apartment manager. She told me the fire marshall had her number and could have called her if he wanted to, which was an outright lie since they tried several times to call. Plus she lied to me telling me the emergency maintenance pager malfunctioned, and my calls weren't received until the next morning...a neighbor told me the night before that she would say that. Management did a very crappy job of repairing the damages... I still have mold and mildew in my apartment, water stains, and holes in my ceiling from where it caved in from the flood. The property manager also threatened to take me to court if I tried to break my lease, even under those circumstances.

Okay, management is slack. More often than not they are not in the office. They have an overflowing extra dumpster blocking about 5 very much needed parking spaces, they do not take the initiative to even salt the ground when it is icy outside. Maintenance does not respond fast to any calls, regardless of the circumstances...my heat went out in the winter, and maintenance did not even come till the next day, and it still does not seem fully fixed.

Paces Arbor is not the worst place I have ever stayed but its not that great. I can say the apartment is spacious, especially for the price I pay (which is a special price). I hate paying for water though..there are cheaper places I wish I were staying now that do not charge for water. Also this place has been under different managements, and the one now is definitely not all that great. I do not recommend staying at Paces Arbor.
