I previously lived at Parkwood Village for 3 years when I first arrived at NCSU. The price for the location is fine, but there are better homes with similar prices in Raleigh. They did keep the grounds clean although you have to be wary of people who live there and will hang out their clothes on a makeshift clothes line or have old tires in front of their apartments.

The staff is nice intially but I have had problems with one of the young brunette girls that worked there. Also Judy the manager ripped me off towards the end of my lease. I had been in the apartment 3 years and she refused to clean my carpet unless I was willing to sign a lease for another year. She also charged me for the carpet in the apartment when the carpet was very very old when I moved in, had a large koolaid stain on the floor when I moved there and I could tell the previous tenant had a cat eventhough pets are not allowed.

The windows are old and drafty which causes your electric bill to be outrageous. The bathroom in my place above the tub was moldy. Also the staff did not keep up maintance with the filter and one month my electric bill was over 200 dollars for one month,and I later found out that the AC had frozen up and clogged due to infrequent cleanign and changing of the filter.

Also since the apartments are old you can hear all of your neighbors upsairs.



Overall I did not like this apartment. I would not go back there to live. The parking is good and it is close to campus but I would choose something else. Like possibly the apartments across the street from Parkwood called Crest something........ similar price, nicer apartments on the inside....same access to the busline.
