Both times, I lived across Gorman from the main complex, so reviewed accordingly.

The 1bedroom was a nice size, all the neighbors got along great. I was on the bottom floor, under a drummer (who moved out 2 months later, thank god). From below, you can hear walking, coughing, arguing (and drums) from upstairs apts. Above me, they once let their bathtub overflow, guess where all the water went' Maintenence came right out and fixed everything, but I still had to clean up. During Hurricane Fran, the bedroom also had some minor seepage. The wolfline was right across the street.

The 2 bedroom was a little more cramped (My roomie was another PWood resident prior). We had an upstairs neighbor problem, as they never took out trash and our little quad had MAJOR roach problems, thanks to them. We had an exterminator come 4-5 times (once, a no-show after we taped/plastic'd up all our dishes one night). The upstairs noise was worse, and you could point to where the occupants were standing at any time. We also had ethnic neighbors next door, and could smell heavy cooking odors daily.

Overall, as a student, this was a fun place to live. Pool life was fun, I met many good friends, and the staff was very accomodating. The social scene was very nice. I never had to wait for repairs or lose deposits or any of that drama. I would not recommend this place for families/professionals or people annoyed with hearing your neighbor sneeze at 3am.
