The apartment I ended up renting was absolutely nothing like the one I was originally shown. When I moved in the apartment REAKED. It took days of candles, air fresheners, and running fans to get the smell out, and I had to forget about opening a window for air b/c the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned, on the outside, in at least ten years, there were bugs, and spiderwebs and dirt all over the outside part. The lock on my front door never worked correctly, even after maintenance came to look at it and 'fix' it. I could hear everything that happened in the apartment next to mine, and often any smell from food they cooked would drift over into my apartment. Gross.
The only bright side was the cheap rent for a two bedroom apartment. I got what I paid for and then I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
