You get exactly what you pay for here. The rent is cheap, I had no roaches, the apartments are big and you even have the option of a washer/dryer but thats all of the positives.
The apartments are over 30 years old and they look even older. They have never been remodeled and aren?t maintained properly. During my 1 year here I saw sparks flying out of an electrical outlet, and the air conditioner, dishwasher, and garbage disposal all broke down at times. I didn?t worry though because I understand ---- happens plus they fixed everything when I called so no big deal there.
If you move here you will feel more at home if you?re from Mexico and if you don?t know spanish you better learn if you want to get along with your neighbors because they run this place. I don?t know where they moved here from but from what I have noticed they like to live in their own trash. They drink in the parking lot which is ok with me but they don?t throw their bottles away or the packaging the bottles or cans came in. It all ends up in the parking lot whever they drank them. When I walk up the steps all I see is the years of built up dirt that the staff hasn?t cleaned up and doesn?t intend to clean on the stairs and the stair rails and the hundreds of cigerette butts left by the neighbors. 90% of them come from 1 apartment and the bad thing is that they smoke right in front of my door and theirs and just throw all their paper and trash right there like they?re marking their territory. I would rather they just take a piss in front of my door because at least it will dry up and I don?t have to mess with it, then again I still have a month to go so I better not give them any more ideas. Maybe they?re trying to make this place even worse than it is so in a year the rent will go down even further.
As far as safety...... The first month I was here I heard this man getting beat up and down the stairs but I felt safe because that was the police. Pines of Ashton did send out letters informing us to lock both sets of locks because their had been several breakins so I guess you could look at that as a positive. Lately someone was robbed at gunpoint and I saw someone getting the ---- beat out of them at noon. No one helped him and no one called the police but the other guy was nice enough not to kill him and that just goes to show you that the neighbors here are very nice.

This was obviously written by a dumb-assed bigot. The majority of your comments have little to do with the apratment, but definitely highlight the attitude of one with a "victim mentality". It's everyone else's fault. How much ownership have you taken in your neighborhood? Do you pick up the trash or, better yet, encourage your neighors to do so? How many times have you called the police when your neighbors are being beaten up in the parking lot...or are you part of the "no one"? Yes, that's it. I think this review was written by a no one.
