I moved into Riverwoods in February 2007. Right when we moved in, we had heating issues, the heat would just blow and blow and blow no matter what temp I had it set at. I live in a 2 story townhouse, it is not even 1000 sqaure feet, not eve sure if it is 900 to tell you the truth. Anyway, for our first 18 days, our bill was $148 and we had the heat set at like 65 degrees, keep in mind, it was cold outside so we were still cold inside. We had to keep the temp set low and freeze so as not to pay over $300 for our electric bill. Then, as it got hot, we had to keep the temp set at 82 degrees to try to keep the bill down, it is still $100 per month, and I am still uncomfortable. There are several times that I had the air/heat checked out, it would get messed up, the needle on the thermostat wouln't move, the air/heat would keep blasting ,I jhad called about 8 times in total. Most recently, our air conditioning stopped working, it was just blasting out heat. I have a baby, and overnight we had no air!!! My fiance went in to talk to them about the problem. It is really funny, the woman in the office stated we were a little nagging with the heat/air when my fiance asked about it. Then, since they finally got it going, it was just blasting and blasting and blasting since it is so hot outside and it was like 90 in the place, we had to get it back down to 82. I asked for some sort of compensation since this has been an issue and my bill yet again is going to be rediculous, and the girl at the desk stated this is only the second time we have reported an issue. Really funny since we always seem to nag them in her words. Anyway, I don't recommnend this place to anyone unless you want a crappy, expensive apartment with an outrageous light bill each month!!!!
