Since the new management took over things have gone downhill.

I am very glad to be moving out.

On the plus side they have completely destroyed the work out room which is completely useless unless you want to run or use an elliptical.

They have advertised that they have spent millions in renovations however I have not seen anything done to help better the apartment.

They updated the club house but besides that I have seen nothing.

This is an old complex it needs work! Yes to those reading the review about the new manager being rude and hard to deal with, but others saying she is nice and helpful; she seems nice but is hard to work with and is just such a pain.

We have had one problem after another with her dont be fooled.

They are more concerned with selling more apartments then the residents that are currently living there.

I lived in this apartment for a year and a half with no problem at all until new dawn took over.

For how much they are charging for the "renovated" apartments ($700-$900) I don't know why anyone would ever move here.

This was an okay apartment complex with the new management I am glad my lease is over so I can get out!

Okay one they arent going to renovate your apartment while you are living in it you would completely have to move to a new unit. Two the renovated apartments are a lot more expensive then the one you are living in now, the price does not stay the same. Three they have stopped renovations because the management company that was running our complex was fired (hopefully a good thing since they were terrible.) Maybe you should do some research before saying someone expressing their views is lying.

I am a resident and haven't a clue as to what the original poster is writing about. The gym works and works well, plus brand spanking NEW equipment and a cool flat screen to boot! Sure, these apartments have a little age to 'em, just like most of the others in Raleigh. But in my opinion, pound for pound and location for location, SB has got to be one of the best places going today! The staff rocks, the gym is cool and the maintenance is on the money! I had a few minor things that needed attention and the maintenance crew got the job done within 24 hours. On top of those things, it is peaceful and quiet here. I suspect those who have had problems are either living in a dream world, have crazily high expectations or perhaps they are being less than honest with themselves and with Apartmentratings.com. Just a thought!

I feel the pain on the gym, it is not a gym it is a fitness center. While it may be new equipment and wow a flat panel all you can do is run or use an elliptical. Other than that they put in the worst bench machine I have ever used, and a lat pull down. There are yoga mats and an yoga ball in there also. They took out the all in one machine and provided no free weights. I hate the "gym" it can not be used to work out only to do cardio.
