As a current and renewing tenant of Sailboat Bay I felt I had an obligation to express my complete and total satisfaction with the management and maintenance staff here at Sailboat Bay.

While I was searching for a new apartment complex there were several things I kept in mind: quiet, friendly residents, adequate parking, safety on premise and grounds maintenance.

What I like about Sailboat Bay is the staff is wonderful. Bridget, Marcia, Jeff and all the other folks who are here are courteous, professional and responsive/timely with everything. The management office communicates with all residents in a timely manner about walk throughs, routine maintenances (i.e. to change air filters, check smoke detectors etc).

The parking here is not an issue either. I have lived here just under a year and I always have a space right in front of my building and the areas are all well lit. The saftey here has never been an issue either. I called the Raleigh Police department before I moved in to have them run a report on the types of calls they have been sent on to within a block radius of Sailboat Bay and the most they came up with here in the complex were a couple of calls to rescue injured animals and a domestic abuse. Nothing like the calls at the other complexes.

The grounds here too are kept up also. The management group made it a point to cut back all the overgrown shubs, trees and bushes around the complex. They wanted to make sure the air conditioners had the proper spacing/ventilation around them so they could perform at peak performance, it helped with the moisture because the sun couldn't get into these spots, and made the areas around the windows visible so no one could hide behind them.

Some of the other things that the management office has done for the residents is creating a Community Watch Program on-site after hearing about some of the other communities around the lake having issues with thefts of GPS etc. The staff here is always looking out for the interest of their residents. They recently sponsored an ice cream social and Pool Party/BBQ and now are working on a Community Yard Sale.

I have so many wonderful people and can call this my Home Sweet Home. Don't take my word for it. Come and check it out for yourself.
