Do not believe what you read from the "crime" post. I was there for this "event" - it was not a shoot out. It was a personal matter of a resident who chose to barricade himself in the apartment and then to end his life on his own. The apartment complex keeps the privacy of its residents.

He did not shoot himself. He was my boyfriend. I broke up with him and he tried to keep via gun - I ran and called police. He then would not let them in and then drank and took pills. You need to feel sorry for his daughter. I am over this since this October will be 2 years since.

I can honestly say that I am just a resident... and I was here during this time too. It was not a shoot-out, and was a suicide, and as scary as that night was as a resident, sometimes things happen. This was no hostage situation or drug-crime or whatever. Just a horrible incident that had NOTHING to do with Shellbrook or its safety. I don't necessarily adore Shellbrook, but this "crime" was no crime at all. Just a sad sad situation.
