Not sure why other people had negative things to say about Shellbrook. I stayed in a 1 bedroom for a few years about 1994 and I liked it enough to come back years later when I needed to move back to the area. I have lived here in a 2 bedroom, since late 2003. So, with the 4 years before and the 5 years now I think I know this place pretty well. Unlike other places, I don't know of any incidents that would make someone feel unsafe. The residents have always been friendly to me and people pretty much mind their own business. The maintenance has been very good. I've never waited very long on the rare occasions I even had to call them. If you have a dog you'll love it! Shelly Lake is maybe 1/4 of a mile away or there are semi-wooded areas on the property with trails and a large pond. There are lots of huge old trees that shade everything in the summer and add a very nice look as well as privacy. There is no water/sewer or trash fees. Cable is added to your rent but at half price. They have the standard tier from Time-Warner. I added the HD Tier HD DVR for my LCD TV and the 7 Mbps Road Runner (for the PC) for about $50 per month. I didn't have to get the Road Runner as Shellbrook does have a free wireless Internet connection, but I do a lot online and wanted the higher speeds.
There are many more pluses than minuses here without a doubt. I would recommend this place to anyone.
