This site has good and bad points. I have a friend who is looking for an apartment and went to this site and then told me about it, because I live here. I like everyone started reading and thinking this site is not fair. AGAIN, you mostly hear from the people who are angry. And are those people ever happy with anythign in life. Like everything in life you only hear and remember the bad times. I have talked to people before who have lived at Six Forks and the ones who still live here and they love it. What about the long term residents' Have you ever rented at a apartment community and asked "How many long term residents do you have"' That should be the true test of an apartment community. Also like life nobody and nothing is perfect and you need to stop living like it is. If you have a bug problem then call for the exterminator that comes every week. Don't wait until you have a problem. If you have a on going problem in your apartment and call in a work order and have to keep calling back to say it is still not fixed then that is what you have to do. The maintenance men are not going to know you still have a problem unless you let them know. There are a lot of apartments out there and I am sure a lot of work orders called in on a daily basis and they can not be mind readers to konw that you have a problem that is still not fixed. As for the staff I personally have no problem when I see them or come in to the office. But have you ever thought it may be how you treat them when you call in or go into the office and blast them for everything that goes wrong. I have been in the office before when someone has went off on the staff and they just have to stand there and take the VERBAL ABUSE that is dished out at them. Like you in your job and everyones job it is not easy and every day does not smell like roses. Customer service is a very demanding job and when you go to anyone in customer service remember that 90% of the time it is not that persons fault. They are just the one in the HOT SEAT at that time. Think about the problems and what you can do to make the problem work for you. Life is short enjoy it as for tomorrow could be your last. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

Lived here?

Saturnfan, Everything as it gets older falls a part. What in life does not? If you have not lived here in 4 years what makes this your mission to rate this community all the time? Just a question. And what was your issue with Six Forks? As far as the bug problem goes, it was stated in somone's opinion that they did not have bug problems at any apartment community until they moved to a Drucker and Falk community, someone also stated that a prior community they had lived at they where sprayed twice a year and had no bug problem. So my point is you can have your apartment sprayed as much as you want here 1 a month, 2 a month and so on to help prevent a bug problem. I don't think that bugs read a sign and say HEY this is a drucker and falk property lets go live here! I don't want to get into a debate about this also. I just wanted to try and make a point that there are so many other things in this world to worry about and why do people always have to focus on the negative. Thats all nothing else. Have a great day!!

In the apt community I now reside in for 4 years, things are fixed right on the first trip. I stand on my opinion that the place was built cheap and is now falling apart.

This has nothing to do with how my living experience there was not good, and unsatisfactory. This is a review of how to be personable and respectful. I am their tenant... it is their job to fix the problems that is wrong. That is why there is a contract. You make no sense when you state that "If you have a bug problem then call for the exterminator that comes every week. Don't wait until you have a problem." This is not a review on the apartment, but rather a opinion on how people should act and what they should do.

The person who wrote this review, whilst seeking to make their points, is making a mess of their case by making excuses and seems quite juvenile. In a professionally managed operation, its the job of the management to ensure maintenance, for example, is carried out and managed in a way that does not inconvenience the renter - this is what they are paid for. For the level of rent that this company charges for these out-of-date properties, there should never be any maintenance/building issues. The fact that there are says either the management is ineffective, incompetent or the buildings need reconstruction. There are not enough staff for such a large complex. I agree with previous writers that when you meet the management in their gleaming offices before you move in, they are all smiles and happy faces. Once you move in, its not quite the same anymore. I think a professional male influence would help in there.

This poster sounds like a member of D&F staff or related to them, hence the anonymous screenname. Shame on you and your shambles of a management company. We are paying customers (yes, remember), we and have EVERY right to get what is due to us and complain when it isn't done/forthcoming.
