I am a fairly new resident to Sylvan Park, I will say I was a little concerned in reading the previous reviews.
I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt and visit anyway.
When I visited back in April, I was pleasantly surprised.
I was greeted by a very nice lady (can't remember her name), she showed me a two bedroom apartment and it was really nice.
There is plenty of parking space and the pool is great....I have yet to have a maintenance issue, but I haven't heard any complaints from any of my neighbors about the response time of the maint.

Overall, so far I have enjoyed my stay here, it is a real mix of people, students, young couples and singles....I would recommend it.

I'm sure some of the building are inhabitable, but 3 rosy posts, with nothing bad to say, coming up in one day? Smells fishy. If you didn't notice, they "change management" every couple of months which while I lived there, didn't make any difference at all short of hearing less gunshots.

I have been living here at SP for about 8 months and I am very disappointed. I have done nothing but complained about everything since I've moved here. I read that there were insect problems. I had already signed the contract and gave them my deposit. The first night me and my husband moved there, there were roaches and waterbugs everywhere. It was funny that we did not see them when we first looked at the apartment. We did not see insects when we was moving our stuff in. We knew that we did not bring the roaches there because our previous apartment did not have roaches and we are not dirty people. We told the people at the rental office about it and they acted like it was no big deal. They sent a lousy bug person to spray and that did not do anything. We went to the rental office several times to complain and it was no big deal to them. We ended up buying an expensive birth control and poison for the roaches. I helped but there are roaches coming from other apartments. I RECOMMEND NOONE TO CONSIDER MOVING TO SYLVAN PARK APARTMENTS OR MERLIN COURT APARTMENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE FILTHY!!!!!
