Management needs to learn how to treat the GOOD tenants!

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
This is my second time living at Stonehenge. The first time as a single woman, this time a single woman with child. My first experience was just fine so I decided to come back. Guess this time I should have rented an apt. right in front of the office again. When I rented the second time around, I got shifted from one apartment to another because the apartment they originally were leasing to me was not being vacated, then they wanted to put me in an apartment that was backed into the woods and in a corner---not a safe look. When I finally moved into the 3rd apt. they suggested, I came home with my brand new baby and had a leaky faucet in the kitchen--I called maintenance and the front office and no one wanted to come fix it---I mean my goodness--anyone with a new born knows you need a working kitchen sink! The only other problem I experienced in my first year was bugs/roaches. At first they werent bad and I realized that maintenance rarely came out and when they did I would ask for traps instead of spray (bc my child is allergic to it). Of the 3 times in the 1.5 yrs I've lived here, they've only put traps in once and I've had to purchase my own bc they have yet to change them. On to the now continuing safety issue. The stairwell lights in my building have continuously been out for 2 weeks--they claim they check them weekly...HA! (This is not to mention that at least twice a month they're out). I can't even see to get my keys out and in the lock at night. On top of that, my next door neighbors were constantly out on the porch area cursing, smoking and damaging people's property. Just last night saw the people that are messing with the lights---drunk teenagers---and management is still refusing to let me out of my lease so I can move to somewhere that I FEEL safe, esp. being a single mom with a very young child. I wish I had not signed another lease so that I can come home to a place that is well lit, free of rift raft, is safe, without roaches and silverfish and treats their GOOD tenants with care and concern!!!
Oh yeah--forgot that I have called maintenance about the bugs and leaky ceiling in the bathroom twice with no action and now they dont want to confirm it. Plus there is no clause for early termination of a lease as many other places have. I've had to call management for days straight to try to get resolution to being able to move and they have increasingly been hard to deal with---even with me committing to pay rent until they have re-rented the place. THATS HOW UNSAFE I FEEL!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!
