I just finished a short stay there. I must give them a very good rating. For the most part they are reasonable in everything they do. Had not stayed in an apartment for about 20 years and I was expecting a corporation hastling / nit picking on every detail. They were very reasonable about the move in, maintenance requests, and even on move out, I received my full security deposit very quick. Kathryn in the front office was very good (as were the others I dealt with) and Michael in maintenance is a good guy. I would give it a full 5 stars, except ... the little fees are very poorly communicated and annoying. There is a pest fee, garbage fee. I don't remember hearing anything about that. The worst was the alarm monitoring fee. I turned it down, but was surprised to see the $10 / month charge on my bill. When I asked about it (this is a few months after I moved in), I was told "you pay the monthly alarm fee whether you have the monitoring or not." Huh' That is ridiculous. Just fold these petty things in the rent. I worry about parking too, as it fills up. We were in the new area and it wasn't even half full and parking was just starting to become an issue.

The alarm monitoring fee is silly. It's $10 per month whether or not you actually have it monitored. To have it monitored, it's a $50 setup fee I think (one time). They recently started requiring everyone to pay $35 for Time Warner basic cable. My boyfriend and I had been doing just fine cable-free for 18 months. Now we suddenly have to pay for it, with no opt out option (even if you have a satellite dish instead of cable, you now have to pay for cable too).
