These apartments are okay, but could definitely be a lot better. I'm not terribly pleased with my apartment, although I might have just been unlucky. The interior looks nice at a glance, but upon closer inspection there are lots of hastily patched cracks in the wall from the apartment settling. Be prepared to spend quite a bit keeping your apartment at a pleasant temperature-they're not very energy efficient. I moved here from the Midwest, which has very cold winters, and this apartment costs nearly double what it did to keep my old apartment heated in the winter. The units feel really small-I'm not quite sure that I believe that they're the square footage that they claim. Also, don't fall for the "terrace" apartments. I was told that they were "just a few steps down from ground level." Last I checked, "a few" and "16" were not the same number. They're really just glorified basement apartments with a few windows, and not worth the cheaper rent.
There are some upsides to these apartments, though. Maintenance is very good. The times that I've needed them to fix something, they came within just a few hours. The grounds are kept very neat and clean, and there is always ample parking. The pool is always clean when its open, and the fitness center is always in working order. Noise is minimal, which is amazing considering how close it is to NC State.
In conclusion, although there are some bad points, these apartments aren't too bad. From what I've heard, these are about as nice of apartments as you can find within a few miles of the university.
