Wow! Where do I start' I cannot say enough about the Summit at Avent Ferry and the excellent staff on hand. Whenever there was a problem in my apartment, the maintenance man came within 24 hours. The appliances were in great condition and they replaced the dishwasher upon my moving into the apartment. I rented the middle size 1 bedroom apartment on the 3rd level, which faced the parking lot. The screened in porch is what sold me on the decision to rent with the complex because I loved to have my windows open in the warmer weather and not worry about the bugs. There hardly was any noise coming from my other neighbors except for the one that lived below me. I could actually feel him walking around downstairs from my couch in my apartment. Needless to say, these are much older apartments. However, there age is what gave the apartment personality. In the three years I rented, I have noticed an increase in the electric bill. This is partly due to the rise in cost at the electric company. So do not be alarmed by your first electric bill. The grounds were always well kept and I always felt safe in the neighborhood, which the management team did there best to notify all residents of any mishaps in the neighborhood. I do remember when I first moved into the apartment that 2 young individuals tried to break into my neighbors brand new Honda. Needless to say, I stopped them from going any further by watching out for my neighbors. That is exactly what the residents do for each other at this complex is watch out for his or her neighbor. He was greatly appreciative that I stopped those individuals from breaking into his car. The location of the complex is great! You have Lake Johnson within walking distance, farmers market right around the corner, and easy access to downtown Raleigh. Finally, the management team is so sincere and willing to help their residents. I recently purchased my first home and needed some extension on my lease so I could get everything in order. Thanks to the management team, I was able to have ample time to look and find my first home without the need to rush through the process. So, as I wrote in the beginning I cannot say enough of the complex to convince anyone who would want to move here.
