I've lived here for over two years. My husband and I are planning on moving after our lease is up, but only because we're ready to move into a house of our own.
This place has been fantastic. We still have close to a year left on our lease, but I feel very comfortable reviewing it now.
My previous apartment has a rating of 40-something percent on this site, which I completely agree with (It was a slummy place!) When I searched for the village and saw 52% I was appalled! This place is so much better than that! I would personally give it a 92.
A lot of the complaints that I've seen have to do with money/rent/breaking your lease. But this place is not any different than any other apartment complex on that matter- If you pay your rent, you will have no problems. Another frequent complaint that I've seen is maintenance/workers entering your apartment without your consent. I have never seen this happen. I always have gotten a letter stating that they will be entering and they tell you the date and timeframe. I have gotten slips that maintenance has been there, but only after I called them about something. I feel like people rating the apartments are giving the wrong impression that people are coming and going through your apartment as they please, and that is entirely untrue.
They have always been great with repairs, and this is the only apartment I've ever lived in where I actually knew someone's name who worked in the office (Shelly- and she's awesome, in case they read this.)
The only complaint that I have is small- I wish the closets were bigger.
I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I love living here as much today as the day we moved in.
