Awful place to live...don't waste your money!!!

I lived at the Raleigh location for two years and each year I was very disappointed with these apartments. The first year that I lived here, when my roommates and I moved in, there was a note about counter and floor damage in the kitchen (there were black marks and melted spots from a toaster oven being too close) that said they would be replacing the counter and fixing the floor within the next week or two. They never did it, or mentioned anything about fixing it, and I'm positive with their "policies" that they made the previous tenant responsible for the damage pay for it. The second year I moved to another apartment on the same property that was even worse than the first. The carpets were disgusting! They were still wet when I moved in (university suites makes you pay to have the carpets "cleaned" when you move out), with dark stains all over the place. There was a large whole that had been patched but not painted over on the stairs from where the previous tenant had put a keg through the wall, with another empty promise that the repair would be completed soon. Throughout the years, my roommates and I had to deal with several members of the property staff on various issues, and the manager in particular was often very rude and highly unprofessional (I had to wait for her to get out of the tanning bed once in order to meet with her about an overage I was charged for). When I moved out, my roommates and I were overcharged for damages that were a result of the age of the apartment and should be replaced by the landlord and not the tenants (70 dollars for cheap blinds that had dry rotted and been damaged by sun exposure!!!). Although they have "landscapers", we had problems with mulch runoff into our parking lot every single time it rained, and although they are supposed to blow off debris from our porch, ours spent the entire year covered in leaves and other debris. Each month we each had to pay about a 10-20 dollar overage, when we were already paying an additional 40 dollars per person for a utility package that was supposed to cover everything. As far as the community itself goes, it is a college complex. I enjoy occasionally partying and often don't mind if my neighbors do so either, even if they are noisy, but the cops had to be called several times due to extremely loud and annoying music past 4 am on school nights. My roommates car was even hit by another car in our parking lot, when her car was parked, and the driver drove off!!! This place is a dump and the corporate offices should consider remodeling and finding new management!!!
