Not the best...

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009

I have lived here for 2 years. It wasn't too bad the first half of the first year, however, once I renewed my lease for the next year, I had new neighbors move in. They seemed to have gotten progressively louder. Many of the residents here party ALL WEEK LONG and play their music extremely loud! I can hear the actual lyrics of songs from my inconsiderate neighbor's apartments. It happens almost every night. I have personally (and nicely) asked my neighbors to keep it down. It is nearly impossible to study and sleep! I have spoken with the staff at the leasing office about keeping loud neighbors quiet; I have also called the police. Apparently, there is nothing they can do, or will do... If you care about your grades in college and actually like to sleep, then this is def NOT the place to live. However, if you like to party every night and care nothing about school then this is the place for you.
The apt I live in had a dirty carpet from the day we moved in...I can't remember how many times I've requested to have the carpet cleaned, and of course it never got done. I had to pay professional carpet cleaners to come in and clean the filthy carpet! Now, the carpet is coming up at the edges and the nails or staples are cutting peoples feet. I've requested that to be fixed, and of course it still hasn't been fixed!
The grounds keeper doesn't do the best job. He will fine you for leaving your trash outside for 5 mins but he will leave beer cans, hair, cigarette butts, rotting food, ect that people on the upper levels just throw to the ground. It can get nasty at times...I guess if you have nasty neighbors, there's not much you can do!
The maintenance is horrible, or at least the stupid people working at the leasing office tell you that they put in the maintenance requests you ask for and no one ever shows up to fix the problem.. you literally have to call about 5 to 10 times or go to the leasing office that many times to get any maintenance requests fulfilled.
The parking is horrible if you come back after 6pm or 7pm. If you come back after 10pm, you will be parking waaaay up or down the parking lot, and will have to walk pretty far to your apt (not safe for for a female walking alone).
There are NO visitor spots on the side of UWoods that I live on, however, you can get visitor passes from the leasing office.
I really hate this place and it is not worth $305 a month for 4 bd (or $1220 a month from all of us). I will not be living here again. This is def not a family place or a place for anyone who has common sense and goals to achieve.
