I did not have a good experience at Village Green. I moved to Village Green when I first moved to Raleigh. I was still in college in Rocky Mount at the time and commuted. If I had known the complex was surrounded by the ghetto and the crazy house, I would have had second thoughts about moving there. There are two project developments going either way on Lake Wheeler. There's some by Food Lion and there's some going toward Downtown. Also, Dorothea Dix, the crazy house (mental institution) is on the hill before you get Downtown. Not even a mile from the apartments. The residents can be very loud. I constantly heard loud bass music outside or my neighbors having sex at all hours. They also fool you with the model. The model had nice maple cabinets in the kitchen, but the actual unit came with cheap particle-board laminate cabinets. Our linen closet door fell off. My shower got stuck on one time. I could not turn it off to save my life. When maitenence fixed it, he put the control knob on backwards, so hot was cold and cold was hot. Maintenence staff was ALWAYS in our apartment without warning and rarely left a notice. They always claimed to be doing these various "checks". The maintenece man at the complex I'm at now has only been in twice to change air filters and they gave plenty of advance warning. At Village Green, I can't even remember how many times they were in there. They included Internet with your rent, but the Internet always seemed to go out. They roomate matched us with some random dude from NC State. To this day, I don't even know his name. We made it clear that we weren't compatible, but they moved him in anyway. My roomate and I made his life a living hell hehe. My roomate got in a shouting match with Kelly, the property manager at the time over some incident with the maintenece man. We broke our lease early to get out of there and don't regret doing it.

How can you get pissed that someone is having sex at all hours of the night...unless you're OBVIOUSLY not getting any. Loser! I can't believe you would complain when it seems you and your roommate were the ones causing problems...maybe you guys should've visited Dorothea Dix. Sounds like ya'll belong there.
