I've lived here for over 3 years. When I first moved here, I was so happy to live in a place that felt warm and inviting...I even became close friends with the management. So, Crosland sold last year and I can't wait to leave! The new management is a farse! Liars, manipulators and rapers of your wallet. I know of people renting apartments in the Wakefiled area who have all gotten letters stating that rent was not going up due to the bad economy...Wakefield glen has raised rent as much as $150/month!!! The pool was constantly dirty last summer and closed early instead of the late October as it was in the past..reason being.."taht they're from Ohio, and we close the pools early up there"..Well -------, you're in the south now! Landscaping..gross, and I swear I was followed home by one of the grounds keepers.
And the best yet...a friend of mine complained of ants in his kitchen. He called to ask for the exterminator, and was told that he only comes around every 2 weeks, and that he should go out himself and buy his own repellant because the stuff that they use is not pet or kid friendly! Really' In a complex full of kids and beloved pets, they're using products hazardous to the health and well being of them.
I can go on and on about how I can't wait for my lease to be up to get the heckl out of dodge! Don't be fooled by anyone there...DO NOT rent here..they don't care about any of the tenants that have been there for years..only getting new garbage in! Speaking of garbage, maybbe someone should turn the garbage compactor on once in a while..it's always smelly and over flowing....

It was said, to see that the new management is so hard and cold...they came in right before Christmas saying they were doing an expection and they came with a new lease... We were so off guard with the deception to get us to sign the new lease. They gave us almost an 200.00 increase in rent and then have to pay an additional fee for the garabage, which is always overflowing with this new management staff. The last management, you would never see the trash overflowing. The management gave us until 10am the next morning or the rent would end up being an extra 100.00, to 300.00. I couldn't believe it. It is a good idea to move on...
