My fiance has lived at these apartment buildings for 3 years. I just recently moved in with him because we got engaged. Now that there are 3 adults and 1 child living in a 2 bedroom apartment, we feel that we need a bigger apartment. We found an apartment and we needed the office to fill out the papers for rental verification and we gave them to the office one time and the lady said that she filled it out, faxed it and then threw the papers in the trash. The office at the other apartment complex didn't receive them so we asked one more time if they could fill them out and fax them back and they are saying now that they WILL NOT fill them out because he hasn't given his 60 day notice. Now, my fiance is hispanic and doesn't speak very good english so he really can't read it either. He didn't know about having to give a 60 day notice because he didn't understand the contract but he needed a place to stay. Now the MANAGER at this apartment complex is saying that they have a spanish speaking employee(that has only been there for 2-4 months) that if he didn't understand, he should have asked the lady, but that it also wasn't his responsibility for my fiance to understand the contract that he signed because he lived in America and he should speak English. This is a racial slur and my fiance doesn't feel comfortable living at this complex anymore. Not only this problem, but every other time we go into the office, the managers are never there. This is my first time ever seeing the "manager" there when I have entered the office around 5 times in the past month alone.
