Hi, I am a current resident of Jeffries Cove apartments for over a year but i am looking for a new place to move. First let me start with the good. Location is great. Literally minutes away from all major shopping centers including the mall, walmart, etc. The maintenance men get there faster than i want them too. Much kudos for that. (THANKS SCOTT & BOBBY). The appliance man is another story i had to live with a humming refrigerator for too damn long (about a week) but he said he had to order a part but management was too cheap to just get a new one in there and too lazy to have an old one cleaned to replace it. i have had absolutely no prblems with car break or home break ins although a neighbor has but i heard it was personal. I have even forgotten my purse in the car and even money on the seat. Still no problem!
So what is my problem. One is the insulation. You can literally feel the cold air coming throught the windows. This causes a high electric bill. Two, the playground sucks. The equipment is old and rusted and I have even picked up glass from out there so my children wouldn't get hurt. The tenants are okay but i really don't care for the young crowd that just stands around. I think one of them threw a large rock at my car one night while pulling up but that is only a speculation. I still believe it though. The truth is that unless you have to move to Rocky Mount, don't.
If you have to be nearby b/c of a job then try Nashville or Tarboro. This town does not have much if anything to offer. On a scale of 1-10 i'd give Jeffries Cove a 4.5. Management is pretty nice too. Oh yeah it's not too loud either. It just depends on who u live near. My neighbor has a get together like every other week. I can hear their music but i'm okay with it. Overall we look out for one another.
