I haven't lived in this complex for very long but I hate it. Everything is either broken or in the process of breaking. I put in requests for maintenance to fix things but it takes them days to come. The office staff is arguementative. The windows are from the 70s and all painted shut. Not to mention my electric bill is any where from $150 to $250 a month. If I could get out of my lease without losing a lot of money, I would do it in a second! Most of my doors have cracks in them, and the wallpaper has a crappy texture over it. They were too lazy to remove the wallpaper so they just put plaster over it! You can see where each and every piece of wallpaper ends and begins. The linoleum in the kitchen, bathrooms and under my washer and dryer are coming up. Most of my electric sockets have shorts in them. I had to replace weather stripping around my front and back door MYSELF, because I got tired of waiting for maintenance after 3 weeks of being there. I called about my weather stripping three times because I had a 30 degree draft coming in my apartment! I have a 70s stove and dishwasher. NOTHING is upgraded! The only reason that there is "new" carpeting is because most of the apartments got flooded and ruined the carpets. When I came to make my deposit on the apartment I had picked, I noticed it wasn't the same address I remembered before. So I went and looked at it. It had horrible floral wallpaper, neon yellowish-green countertops (you have to see them to believe that they are that color), brown shag carpets and the most foul mildew odor I have EVER smelled! They tried to give me an apartment that was known to flood, because it was at the bottom of the hill, the run off water went straight into the apartment. When I asked them if that apartment had ever flooded they told me no and that they were planning on getting gutters, so it wouldn't flood. UMM, excuse me! Gutters do not prevent flooding!! I knew they were lying to my face because there was black mildew on the brick to the right of the front door. By far the worst place I have EVER lived!!!
