Where do I start' I'll start with the positive first. These apartments look very nice from the road. When I called the office to initiate my lease (from another state) the manager was very pleasant. When I arrived, things went down hill. I didn't receive the apartment I was promised, this also happened to two other people I know. After one week of living in my apartment, the roof started to leak (we live on the third floor). My husband I both called multiple times, and seven months later the roof still isn't repaired. Our refrigerator stopped working one weekend we were out of town, and all of the food spoiled. We returned on Sunday, and didn't receive a different refrigerator until Tuesday. We had new groceries in coolers until then. And no one offered to replace our spoiled groceries. ENORMOUS bugs are all over the concrete outside and occasionally make their way inside, and due the major "cut backs" pest control has been non-existent. Along with pest control here are few other things that were "cut back": Garbage bins were replaced with a community compactor, which is constantly over flowing or jamming. That was also their attempt to GO GREEN. The grass grows knee high because they can't afford landscaping weekly. And if a major problem occurs, water damage, HVAC problems, it will be several days and many work orders called in. This review may sound a little whiny, but when the advertisement boasts "LUXURY" that's what we expected, at least to some extent. Some other small concerns would be crime, motorcycle theft and break-ins. Theses apartments are by no means the worst apartments in Spring Lake, but if I could go back seven months, I would have done more searching.
