Things that I witness at my 19 month stay at the mills based on my facts and Opinions

Had a very bad bat problem in my apartment land lord done nothing after many a temps of trying to get the apartment bat free. Very Nosy, dirty hall ways since I been there. Land lord making false allegations on my daughter on using drugs when she said it was reported when proven that my daughter was tested and was not doing any kind of drugs and yet they (Management) had only noted on the file when found out truth was neg,. Poor since of Un caring, careless if you move or not attuned you can all ways be replaced by the land lord. All This was In my experience since I lived there I have seen the mangers pit bull running free off the lease one time when every one else could not have there dog off the lease at any time out side. NOT a safe dog(PIT BULL). Land lords live roommate heard cursing out and making threats to people I gave a couch to that did not see a sign on where to move out a couch . I feel like the old Glen Royal Mill either needed to be torn down or left to be a old bldg. NOT a apartment place, I have seen snakes in the stair ways a time or two. way to many inspections enough for me to feel like I had no privacy there or you felled owned. Hall Walls on every floor at that time I was there were dirty and walls sooo very thin you could hear sexual things going on as well as conversations and so on. Have seen discussing used condoms under the stair ways where people from the out side that don't belong come to the mills to do there thing. I am just being honest to what I witness and seen not heard or hear say. Police had came to every ones door late at night asking if things that were found belong to them from cars that were broken in to from kids that were caught breaking in to cars but the kids were not from the complex. NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS TO LIVE THERE AT ALL. I had always paid my rent on time never a trouble maker more less stayed to myself. So my advice is to close the mill and let the pigeons and the bats and snakes have a decent home, and that my story and I'm sticking to it, . Man Had so many maintenance employees, more like different faces, and but last but not least , the pot holes were big wide and deep and was not fixed until I got ready to move and the state came in for inspection.( New) Management is hardly there as she works at two different . places. Management could use a big change may I add. Have a good day and God Bless. Now waiting on my $500.00 deposit after every thing was cleared though my walk though. This information is based on what I have seen and and how I was treated. I feel the rent is not worth the living conditions of my nightly bats and loud nosy below me. After my rent was raise there still was no improvement. I finely moved to a nice house and feel free and happy. I am only expressing what I went though and how I felt being there

Well, after laughing my way through this review, I think you lack in education, and in general, are just a angry person. This old mill converted in apartments is quite unique and charming. Everyone I have invited over loves my apartment and wants to move here! Management is great! Perhaps you were the problem, your daughter attracted not so pleasant acquaintances who defaced the property and maybe was the ones who left the used condoms in the stairwell. If you make your business everyone elses, and act proud of what I would never share, you're going to have a reputation of not being the brightest. If you stayed 19 months, it could not have been all that bad. We are just happy the drama is gone! And...this place is not dirty, you pigs wallowed in your own filth!

I have to agree with The other response ...WE ARE all VERY happy that you and your unsupervised teen who with all the mental problems are gone..we no longer have to put up with bulling and abuse because you allowed her to roam freely while you lounged on the sofa...You are Now history here at the Mill...You and your one daughter not only contributed to the hall grafitti you allowed her and her delinquint friends to punch holes in the walls and leave trash all over the building and parking lot!!!! How about the garbage she took out in the elevator and every tenant had to smell dead fish in the carpet and elevator for days..Man you are nasty...And THEN YOU DEFENDED HER...My thoughts are you should be brought up on charges of neglect and made to pay every resident here for all the nusiance you and your crazy family dealt out...I feel sorry for the youngest girl cause she sure is smarter than the rest of the apple barrel..You were so batty...that is why you had bats..and snakes LOL right..We had a big party when you left and took the other Two crazies with YOU PAPA AND MAMA LOL. You were the cursing ugliest acting bunch of people Ive ever met and I can't believe you actually grew up in Wake Forest..God Bless...How dare you use a man's name you know so little about!!!! The Mill is angry with you..it doesn't like all the abuse you and yours gave it...Stay away and keep your wandering daughter at home..We are finally at peace ..And don't leave any more bats in paper bags at the managers door cause we know only you would do something that stupid...LOVING IT AT GLEN ROYALL
The Mill is an awesome place to live..There are some cosmetic issues but I pay $575. a month and my water and sewer are paid....Washer Dryer hook ups....Get real what a deal 20 foot ceilings and spacios..I don't care that the halls look bad that can be fixed...I will never move...

In all fairness, there were some bat issues in the building before and I personally did not think the management was doing enough about it a the time. I think the apts. that had this problem were on the 3rd floor. I believe one person did get fairly ill from all the bat waste on her deck.
To my understanding, this problem has been fixed. They have put screens on all the decks now. It is an old building, and bats can fit into very small places. I haven't heard anything about this issues still taking place. I think it was fixed about six months ago. Occasionally, neighborhood people do wander around here, and do strange things in the stairwells but that would happen at any apt building. The police seem to be riding thru nightly, to check on the property. I still feel very safe here.

I have lived at Glen Royall for several months as well as some of my family members. I have never had any problems with bats, nor have I seen any snakes or lude things in the stairwells. We did get a new manager, I think in Feb. '09 and she has done a great job makeing this place look and smell better. She has had the hall carpets cleaned and decorated. I think it is great. Now, all we need is a good maintenance person. I love everything about Glen Royall. The tall windows, high ceilings, the hardwood floors. Anyone who appreciates the charm of an old building or a historic property will love it here too. Some people just get mad and didn't like the previous manager and want to say bad things. I feel very safe here.
