I've lived in Brookstone Village for about a year and a half now and I just love this place! The maintenance staff is friendly and always completes the work orders I put in. I had a birthday last week and someone from the office came to my door with a birthday card and a bunch of balloons!!! I never would have expected something so nice from my landlord! Everyone in the office is young and nice so I can easily talk to them about any concerns that I have. A lot of times I go in there just to get some snacks and hang out for a little while! The parties there are sooo fun too! The other day we had a dunking booth and poker games. They have cookouts all the time too which is great because I hate grocery shopping!!!

Brookestone's lame little get-togethers usually involve 1-2 staff members begging people to eat their hamburgers/hot dogs and 2-3 residents taking advantage at a time. They always poorly plan their "parties" and half the time, they don't check the weather so almost half of the Brookestone "party" dates were rained out for the year I lived there.

Yes, the complex has a high rate of involvement with their residents, but like the other response states, it's a sad excuse for parties, and a waste of your rent money. (which i guess they can spare for the horrible price they charge). I went to one party because one of my best friends worked there for a time, and i wanted to see her, and it was so sad... there were two bags of chips, one or two drinks, and they couldn't cook the burgers until they borrowed utensils from a resident. There were only a handful of people attending, and I felt really out of place and left pretty quickly. That's pretty cool about the birthday thing, but in the year and a half that i lived there, i never saw anything like that on anyone else's door, and they never recognized neither mine nor my roommates birthdays in any way. Yeah they put candy and ---- on your door, but it's hardly ever completed for the whole complex, and it does not make up for all the bad things about the place.
