I was just looking on this to see other apartment complexes rating because i am looking to upgrade with roommates. This place has been good to live in. Staff has always treated me with respect, and the maint. staff has done a good job. I have only had 2 things go wrong with my apartment since i moved in on Aug 15. They were done immediately. Most people that get on this are unhappy people, so i am actually going to write a real review. Parking is good over where i live in the one bedrooms. Of course there will be noise because i live in a college neighborhood but its far less than everywhere else i have lived (ie. On campus & the quads) Its not as bad as anyone makes it, if you are discontent with your life i guess then you look to blame everything and everyone else around you. The place looks great except people dont know how to pick up after their dogs and management even put dog poop things out. If you are irresponsible, then dont write a review, its not the apartments fault that you are that way. If you take the time to actually talk to management, they are not bad at all. They ask you what you think of the place and what you would like to see done or if you have any maintenance requests anytime you go in to pay rent or atleast thats what they have done to me. But again, i am a responsible adult living by herself. Go see for yourself and dont trust what people say!

Just because management _asked_ what their residents thought of the place doesn't make them competent, or responsive. The entire office staff is 24 years of age or under, and has absolutely _no_ idea how to run an entire apartment complex.
This apartment's management allowed our flooded apartments to be left unlocked every night for weeks while repairs were being done. I didn't know until I realized all my DVDs were stolen.. The icing on the cake was the fact that they still took my deposit after paying to have the carpet professionally cleaned.

Ok, it's not that we're unhappy or looking to blame others for our problems. I am wonderfully happy with my life and take full responsibility for my problems. However, when there is human waste sitting outside my door for THREE days (please read my review "it seems nice at first...") it severely changes one's perspective of the staff. Please do NOT tell me that was me being nit-picky, or being a tight ass, and they are lucky i did not call the county on them for putting my health in serious danger (and my dog's health). You say they put out waste areas... yeah, they did, but there is ONE for one half of the complex (that never has baggies), and ONE for the other half. Then you have to walk all the way to that station, walk back to the waste area (stepping around other's waste), and walk BACK to the dumpster to throw it away. It's a POOR excuse and is NOT adequate. And, what good is it to pick up your pet's waste when NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY else does it, and I have actually gotten notes on my door for me to clean up the waste in my back yard and it was NOT MY DOG'S!! I always picked mine up, and STILL got blamed for everyone else's!
And, yes please go see for yourself, but don't be blinded by the pretty words and the nice staff, actually see what others who have lived there have to say. And perhaps talk to some of the residents, wait on someone to come into the office and ask their opinion, chances are you'll get a shady response of "Oh, it's nice and it's close to the campus".
I heard another tale from a best friend who lived in the three bedroom town homes and she had a major ant problem that was never even paid attention to (they were very clean and made sure to not leave food, etc out, and did not party so no beer cans everywhere, etc), AND their hot water heater busted and flooded their apartment, the staff pulled up the carpeting, took out the padding underneath, and PUT THE OLD CARPET BACK without padding, and it wasn't even 100% dry when they put it back!! Do not tell me that is the residents looking for an excuse to blame the complex!
Parking is always wonderful in the one bedrooms (Campus Walk), but in the other complex (Brookstone), parking is not bad but not good, visitor's spots are in the center of the complex, and me being a young female, refused to come out of my apartment at night, there are constantly criminals being hunted in that area (not mngmnt's fault, but still a bad thing), and I always carried a weapon of some sort if i did have to go out.
Yes, it is a college complex, but at the same time, college students are not rich (or the majority of them are not rich), and we still demand respect from the people we are renting from. I never felt like i was respected, and every time i went into the office i got the feeling that they hated that i made them work.
Anyway, again, yes, read, research, go get personal experiences, and then form your own opinion, and don't disregard negative feedback as people looking to pawn their horrible feelings off on someone else.
Thank you.
