First of let me say I am not the renter my daughter WAS. I was her cosigner. We just survived the most recent flood. My daughter was lucky that her family is only 1 hour north and could get to her rather quickly. The staff of this complex handled this situation in a TERRIBLE manor, How can you tell kids (sorry students, to parents that's what you are) that they MUST IMMEDIATELY move their items out or THEY WILL and they will not be held responsible for damages. These kids were in shock some had lost their homes, cars, & belongings and you want to put a note on their doors reading like that!!!! How dare you. I went to management and it seemed as if they really didn't care. Erik told me he knew rumors were flying, but he chose to do nothing about it. Only Sarah seemed to care.(another student) We have had problems this past year with management not returning calls. I am all about praising when it is deserved, but when I am told that for a $200 transfer fee they can move my daughter to one of the garden apartments that was not flooded after I have spent $150 in plastic tubs, $80 for a storage shed and oh we also had to empty a 2nd apartment that was flooded because that renter was in CT for the summer and they didn't even call her we did!!! And you want to charge me another $200 have you lost your mind. Finally these kids have been relaesed from their leases (but not until after fighting for it!!), BUT all of a sudden that one month's deposit we had to pay because of our credit rating has just disappeared.. RENTER/ PARENTS BEWARE that's why we are moving to the QUAD $455/month EVERYTHING INCLUDED!!! I wold like to thank the maintance man (Mr. Kentucky) who helped us cart stuff to our storage shed. He was a blessing in all of this mess!
