If you're looking for just a temporary place to stay, like for a semester, then it might be okay, but if you're looking for a really nice apartment or somewhere to live on a more permanent basis, this is not the place for you.

The parking lot is a major problem...not so much with not being able to find a parking space, but when it rains, it floods! The whole sidewalk is all muddy and I fell one time and got my clothes all dirty!

In addition to the mud, there's dog poo everywhere!! The owners simply don't pick up after their pets even though they're supposed to. It's a rule but doesn't seem to be enforced too much. And don't even get me started on the barking dogs! Several people keep their little dogs on their balcony porches with one of those little baby fences at the top of the stairs. They stay on the porch and bark at EVERYONE who passes by, and then sometimes at night, something will get them all worked up (like seeing another dog, seeing a cat, seeing a leaf fall off a tree) and they bark some more. It's so annoying!

The noise level is so-so. There are a few college students here, but they don't take over the place. The neighbors here don't seem to make too much noise, which is good. I've lived in places before where every weekend, there would always be someone out in the parking lot being drunk and loud or breaking up. But not here.

The neighbors that live on the other side of the wall constantly blast their music, but I complained about it twice and they seem to have toned it down. That is something nice i can say about this place. The staff is very friendly and the manager even called after i made the music complaint to check and see if the problem had been solved. This place has a loud air conditioning unit, so you have to turn up the tv every time it comes on, and if you like to sleep late on saturday, don't count on it, b/c that seems to be the time they always start the weed wacking and grass cutting and leaf blowing!

As far as storage, there is none! My closet is crammed, and there's no closet in the living room. Like the other reviewer mentioned, you don't even have a place for your vacuum cleaner! The master bedroom does have 2 closets though, but they're small.

Oh, and another thing about this place that I don't like. The entire aparment is just this long space, gives me the feeling of being in a trailer. And the windows are only on one side of the whole wall. (there is an apartment behind you on the other wall.) So if you like to open your windows in the spring, you won't feel a breeze unfortunately.

I know i sound so negative, but deerbrook does have a few good points. THe rent is decent and i think it's pretty good for having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. I like the fact that i have my own private bathroom. The pool seems to be well kept, but it's small and seems to get crowded a lot by little kids.

Like i say, if you're just thinking of a place that's temporary, this wouldn't be so bad. But for me, I'm ready to move on and find a better place. I need to get away from the lack of space, muddy sidewalks, and especially the dog poo!
