Just a few years ago Holton Place was a great place to live. Upon several management changes, Holton place has actually become pretty scary. Constantly looking over your back from not only the new residents that they are allowing to live there, but even from the management themselves. Don't let any of your appliances fail, or you will be replacing them out of your own pocket. And don't even think about getting your security deposit back. After the previous management fled the country with several months of complex funds in september of '08, the new management has been trained to scalp every dollar from its residents. Security deposits and additional fees are now used to cover normal carpet care, repainting, and cleaning of the apartment upon moveout. I know of 10 people that have NOT received any of their deposit back. If you have followed the common plea summons, you'll see that this complex has been taken to court repeatedly by its residents. Unfortunately, the owner of this complex hides behind his management as to not get his identity involved until he is taken to court. I suggest you do not let the low rates and semi-recent construction of this complex get you into something you're not ready for. There are a million places to live in Wilmington.
