Yes - "You Get what you pay for" are one of the sayings that come to mind, along with "buyer beware" and I think most fitting " Danger - Keep Out"
Now I realize this is a site where alot of people come to vent so i will keep it as well balanced as possible. Moved here 7 months ago (Not for school) Just Left the state i was in For a bigger city. shopped around and came across NCC, now at first sight the apt. was nice, very large with big rooms and living room. newer Construction, and the rent was cheap. along with the availability and move in date we decided to sign a lease. Jesus, Where to start... We were welcomed to our new home with our car getting broken into and radio getting ripped off, And when the reporting officer came he confirmed that this place was going downhill after bringing up a history of NCC. (nice I thought)...Now that can happen anywhere you say.....so ill move on. There are miles of stairs in this place so avoid Getting a unit next to stairs - HA there are none the way the buildings are designed, so be prepared to listen to some fat wilderbeast huff up the stairs at 3 am in the morning after leaving a bar. and trust me it sounds like someone kicking the wall next to your head where your sleeping for about 5 minutes untill they reach their destiny atop. now im all for having a good time, hell drink every night, all night, all year round! but dont party in the parking lot, Leaning on peoples cars at 3 am on a monday morning take your S**T Inside, That Gets old QUICK, and is a regular- every other night thing here. the majority of ppl living here are students, in fact its almost like living on campus. Dont be surprised to wake up finding beer cans, cups, condoms, and broken glass all by your car, or on your car. The folks who live on the second and third floor dont have the common sence NOT to throw stuff off the balcony onto the cars below, so if you have a nice ride i would suggest parking elsewhere. i have seen ciggarette butts that landed on peoples hoods and finished their burn and ruined a paint job, and i have seen careless drunk induviduals back into vehicles while leaving and just take off. allthough the parking isnt that bad compared to many places i have seen they are close together. The CHILDREN that work the office will piss you off as well, They wont hesitate to hang the phone up on you while trying to get ahold of the office to ask a important question, and then keep hanging the phone up because your bothering them. how dare you call to see if your pets medication arrived. I guess all in all if your a student and its your first time away from home go ahead and move in, but if your a working professional or have a family DO NOT MOVE HERE, you will not be happy, Go rent a double wide somewhere for 500 a month.oh yeah, there is a pool and its kept up. it does get a little packed in the summer but you are wicked close to the beach. and your right at the mouth of the port city so you can catch the bus to almost
anywhere. my suggestion to you is to really rent a house if you plan on living anywhere in the city. i hear that every place is about the same. you will see a trail of dust when our lease is up, good luck.
