I decided to pay the leasing office of Brandemere a visit today. The apartments are beautiful from the outside, and are very convenient to both of my jobs. Upon walking inside of the leasing office, I observed the leasing agent on the phone. I noticed that their were some brochures and other information on the coffee table, so I picked those up to browse through until she finished her conversation. When she finished, she got up from her chair and asked me 'Do you need anything'' I told her that I was interested in obtaining some more information about Brandemere's apartments. After a very awkward pause, she responded, 'Do you have everything you need'' (while looking down at my brochure). Besides being shocked and appalled at her disgusting display of customer service, I said 'Yes', walked out the door, and through the brochures in the ashtray directly located beside the front door. She did not extend her hand, ask my name or even say 'Hello, how are you'' I was not offered a tour, pricing, or anything. I will now no longer consider these apartments, and will tell others of my experience.

I went there today and had a similar encounter but did not take it as harshly as you. Maybe I'm just a little pushier, who knows, but I MADE her talk to me. She did smile when I walked in the door. Although she did seem a little "distracted" she was not on the phone. She didn't seem overly interested in doing anything at first, but I did get her to talk to me by being the one who started all of the conversation. Once we got the ball rolling she began to help me. She sat me down at a table and went over the floor plans, explaining that one of them was not available for viewing. It happened to be the one that I am most interested in, so she took my number and offered to call me if the floor plan became available to view. She than proceeded to take my ID and go get some keys. She let me tour 3 different apartments. The only thing I found odd was that on the way to view the apts, she drove her car and asked me to follow in mine. Usually complexes have a golf cart, or you walk. I found the 1st apartment very charming. I love the patio's with the screen wires on them. The screens are dark so that you cannot easily see through from the outside...ensuring more privacy. It isn't cheap though-- They do consider credit, where many places do not anymore (or tend to look the other way for a sale). I will consider these apartments and will tell others of my experience as well. I'm not unhappy at all with the events of today, although a tad confused by the agents behavior at times. (I later found out that her husband just deployed on his 2nd tour in Iraq YESTERDAY. He just got back and now he's gone again).
